Lost Lantern Launches the George Dickel Collection
The Fall 2026 Collection reveals unexpected sides of a Tennessee icon

Vergennes, VT (September 29, 2026) — This fall, Lost Lantern, the Vermont-based independent bottler of American whiskey, follows up the release of the United States of Bourbon–the first blend of bourbon from all 50 states–with another milestone. Lost Lantern’s Fall 2026 release is its first collection devoted entirely to one distillery, and its first partnership with a large, heritage distillery: George Dickel.
Cascade Hollow Distilling Co., better known as George Dickel, is one of roughly a dozen American distilleries with generations of whiskey-making history. Founded in 1878 and rebuilt in the 1950s, the Tullahoma, Tennessee-based distillery has reached new heights under distiller Nicole Austin, who also serves as Diageo’s Director of American Whiskey Liquid Development.
Working closely with Austin, Lost Lantern co-founders Nora Ganley-Roper and Adam Polonski selected whiskies that showcase the depth and complexity of whiskey made in Tennessee while revealing a lesser-known side of George Dickel: styles the distillery has produced for years but rarely, if ever, released.
“Our mission has always been to shine a light on wonderful whiskies from all across the country,” said Polonski, Head of Whiskey Sourcing for Lost Lantern. “From the beginning, we’ve always said we’d be open to working with a large, well-known heritage distillery, as long as we had something to add to the conversation about that distillery and could work with them the same way we work with small distilleries: working directly with their team, tasting every barrel before we select it, and being fully transparent about the source right on the label. We had that opportunity with George Dickel.”
The collection ranges from 18-year-old Tennessee whiskey to wheat whiskey, light whiskey, bourbon that has not undergone charcoal filtration, and Tennessee-distilled rye. Together, these releases give whiskey lovers a chance to discover just how much there is to explore at one of America’s most historic distilleries, including whiskies that very few have ever had a chance to try before.

The George Dickel Collection includes three releases in Lost Lantern’s Single Distillery Series, all of which will be available in all of Lost Lantern’s standard markets: The Collection also includes a wide range of single casks representing seven different styles of whiskey. Due to their limited nature, many of these single casks are exclusive to individual retailers.
All the releases in the Collection are cask strength, non-chill-filtered, with no color added, and released with full transparency on their origin.

Fabled Forest blends seven casks of Tennessee whiskey, all charcoal-mellowed using the Lincoln County process and aged between 11 and 18 years. Made from 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malt, charcoal-mellowed using the Lincoln County process and aged for 18 years in a new oak barrel. Tennessee’s humid aging conditions helped bring the cask strength down to just over 80 proof, yet the whiskey retains remarkable depth and intensity.
